Let us introduce you to Adzuna – the latest big thing in the digital classifieds industry. The London based business, which gets its name from the word ‘zuna’ (which means “abundance” in a number of African languages) has cleverly combined premium listings sites such as Gumtree, Zoopla and Jobsite into a simple user friendly experience.


Their founders are from a good stock too. Digital veterans Doug Monro and Andrew Hunter met at listings giant Gumtree in 2005 and decided to establish the business after a chance meeting at the pub in 2010. Since then the business launched in 2011 after receiving £300k in seed funding from Passion Capital and other notable angel investors.
