Working hard to keep the cogs of onefinestay well-oiled is our crack team of central ops guys (and girl). They’re used to dealing with whatever lands in their court with accuracy and finesse, so we thought they’d be the perfect team to test out the ping pong craze that is hitting London.  Built on the site in Holborn where ping pong was first invented, Bounce combines sport and alcohol in a cool way that darts could only dream of, with a pizza restaurant overlooking the ping pong tables for refueling. Here’s how the team got on:

Clash of the titans

Who goes here:

Well, the central operations team for a start. The crowd is a mix -some serious folk there for the winning; others there for the novelty of the pizza-ping-pong-pint combination. As time goes by there are sure to be a steady group of regulars honing their skills.

Game on for Mark and Matt

Why you’ll want to visit:

It’s great group social activity where you don’t have to wear silly shoes, knock down skittles and pretend you are having fun.

What to look out for:

Fresh from making champions during the summer, there is an Olympic table tennis table. You can’t miss it: it’s the one with rings on.

When to go:

Go now… it’s new and it’s cool. For groups of 6 or more tables can be booked in advance to avoid queuing. Tables are £26 per hour in the evenings.

How to find it:

121 Holborn, London, EC1N 2TD- right near Chancery Lane tube. The entrance is quite concealed so look out for the Bounce sign.
