We announced earlier today that onefinestay will become part of AccorHotels.
It was a little over six years ago that we set out on the journey to build a new type of accommodation – one that would unlock the way people experience cities when they travel.
What started out life on a whiteboard in my sitting room in central London has touched the lives of thousands of people. Today onefinestay has a full time team of more than 600, managing thousands of hand-picked distinctive homes across multiple continents.
Our new partner, AccorHotels, is a global leader in hospitality. They have an unrivalled luxury portfolio, and a heartfelt service culture.
Like us, they are deeply convinced about the scale of the opportunity, and will be investing heavily in onefinestay’s growth and expansion. Our plan is to launch onefinestay in more than 40 new markets over the next five years. onefinestay will become a globally recognised byword for exceptional experiences, and extraordinary service.
Integral to this deal is that we will continue to operate as an independent business, run by the company’s founders and management team. I’ll remain CEO and chairman of the board, and our commitment to service and handmade hospitality will remain unwavering.
It’s a big step for us which represents an exciting new phase in our journey to change the way people live and travel.
